On Saturday the 28th February Red Star held it’s first inter club training day. Over 100 members attended comprising of some of our new clubs who have since joined Red Star Sport Taekwon-Do and Kickboxing. The idea behind the training day was to allow all members from different clubs come and train together, meet each other and have some fun.
The days instruction was led by Red Star’s head coach Jon Mackey. The session was then broken down into five stations. Each station was given an aspect of training to cover, each station was also led by one of Red Star’s fine instructors.
A big thank you to Brendan Kenny who travelled from Galway with his bunch of gladiators, Lauren Bradshaw (Red Star HQ), Neidin Coulahan (Ballymun), Laura Flynn (Finglas) and Donna Mackey (Castleknock) who all taught a module to five groups of eager students.
It was a great day with fun and fitness at the fore. We hope to replicate this event on an annual basis.
Well done to all!
