Congratulations to Lauren Bradshaw who recently won her fight to secure a place on the Irish team that will travel to Seoul, South Korea in July this year to compete at the world championships. Lauren comfortably beat her Cork opponent in two rounds of sparring. Lauren will be hoping to continue her successful run from last year when she won the ITF European championships, she also took bronze at the ITF World Championships. This event in Korea is one of a kind as it is an open world championships where competitors from all of the ITF groups are invited to compete in the homeland of Taekwon-Do. Lauren’s training for the championships has already started. Red Star are currently trying to secure sponsorship for Lauren to try offset the cost of the trip.
