Mountain Hike kickstarts Defib’ fundraising

A team of 16 Red Star hikers took to the hills of South Armagh on Saturday March 2nd to take on the local Twin Peak Challenge. The hike which is organised by local in Camlough is an annual mountain challenge that attracts the keenest of hikers from across the Island. Red Star under took the challenge to raise money so the club can purchase a defibrillator.

Every year Red Star undertakes out door activities to promote the health benefits of the great outdoors while educating our young members about the importance of enjoying time outside. Up next for Red Star is a sponsored rafting session coming up in the summer!

Thanks to everyone who supported our hikers, we raised  €500 which is a great start to our fundraising.
